Is anyone else still watching this? It really keeps getting better and better. Last night's episode was hilarious.

Only kinda, which is the same way that I'm watching Heroes, Mad Men, Californication, Entourage, and other shows...
I've watched up through the third episode I think.

I will have to make sure it recorded yesterday, but other than that I have watched them all. Kinda waiting for something to happen, anything really.

Last episode ended funny. 3 left to go me thinks. I also like the vampire Eric. He is how I picture myself being if I was a vampire.

Book readers, How close is this show staying with the books?

In the books, the character of Jessica doesn't exist at all (Bill wasn't the one who saved Sookie from Longshadow so Bill was never punished for it), Jason didn't go to leadership camp in Dallas, Tara and Sookie weren't best friends so who knows what she was doing in the books (she was introduced at the end of book 2 which is what season 2 is based on), Lafayette was the body in Andy Bellefleur's car etc. Sookie and Bill have mostly been doing the same things and have had the same things happen to them. This show is pretty much the only thing getting me through the summer.

All I know is that the "boob" content is higher in season 2 than 1.... so that's fine with me.

I doubt it will lessen anytime soon, at least so long as they keep MaryAnn around. cuz3 wrote: who did save Sookie from Longshadow? Eric. He also "healed" her from the attack in the woods not that little doctor on last night's episode. In the book, he's always the one who ends up saving Sookie's dumb ass (though he is also always the one who gets her in trouble, i.e. by sending her to Dallas). Either the TV-Show-Bill Fans or the Book-Eric Fans are going to be really dissapointed by the end of this season or possibly the beginning of next (if there is one). Even though I'm a Book-Eric Fan (and things aren't going the way I'd like), the TV show is already way better than the books. The books are pretty convoluted and as the last book demonstrates, the author has kind of run out of ideas.
