So I don't know how many of you use Pandora Radio but if you do I found a nice little app for it.

OpenPandora runs in your system tray and connects to your Pandora channels. I like it since I don't have to leave browser windows open to keep Pandora running.

Yea Mot I found out about it when I got my iphone, it was the top free app for a long while. I use it all the time.

BTW I don't know if you're just going through the OpenPandora program but if you go to the Pandora website and make an account openpandora will see that you're logged in. That way any time that you do open it you'll have a list of all of the stations that you've created that you can choose from. It'll also remember what you've said you like and dislike to tune the stations better for you.

Div it's a great little thing, I have it going all the time. Just the amount of material they have on there to pull from amazes me. I've only seen one channel so far that it couldn't really find anything from the artist and that was a Billy Idol channel...not that I listen to Billy Idol though, it was um for a friend...

So what happens if you like a particular artist, but don't really like the particular song it selected. If you thumbs down the song, will it stop paying that artist? I'm skeerd.

Haven't even looked at it, but can you customize?

Yea that's pretty much the whole point of it Div.

I know this is going to sound like an advertisement but basically what you do is tell it that you want to hear an artist or a song. What it does is then pull that up and finds music that's similar to it.

So like last night for some reason I wanted to listen to Fleetwood Mac. It played a song from them and then went on to Journey, Led Zepplin, Crosby Stills and Nash, and a few others. While you're listening the Pandora window has a thumbs up and thumbs down button to choose if you like the song or not. Whichever way you choose tunes the station, so if I kept saying that I didn't like Journey it will eventually stop putting it in there.

If it does kill off an artist you can go to the website and tune the station. I was just looking at the Fleetwood station that I created and I forgot that I had thumbs downed Maggie May from Rod Stewart, cause I can't stand him. There's an option on there to remove the thumbs down and put it back in rotation.

I'm not sure if this will work or not but here's my profile on Pandora with all of the stations I've made.

I'll have to check it out for those nights when I'm soloing/grinding/whatever that's not raiding.

I'm kind of a noob at these things. So I guess what I meant by customizable.... I like a bit of everything, from Meatloaf to Uncle Kracker to George Strait. So I guess you put in what you want to listen to, when you're sick of that genre you put in something else you want to listen to?
